Abstract Instructions (All Grades)-To be completed after experimentation. Your abstract must not be longer than 250 words and must fit on the shared page. The abstract should excite the reader and inspire them to look at your project more carefully. Your abstract should include:
The purpose of the experiment/investigation.
The procedure that you used to perform you experiment/investigation.
Two sentences that give a summary of your results and conclusion.
A possible extension or application is also optional.
Research Plan Instructions (Grades 6-8 Only)-To be completed BEFORE experimentation. The Research Plan/Project Summary should include the following:
Rationale: Give a brief summary of the background that supports your research/project problem. Explain why your project is important and if/how it affects society.
Explain how the testable question(s), hypothesis and expected outcome is based on the background research.
Describe your procedures, any risk and safety and how you are going to analyze your data.
